Retain home loan customers by resolving issues, negotiating solutions, and preventing discharges in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. We’re looking for a Mortgage Retention Specialists to join our hybrid team starting Monday 5 January. This role will be paying a salary of $70,000 with full holiday and sick leave accruals and runs for 12 months with the possibility of extension. It’s a great fit for anyone with experience in mortgage call centres, retention roles, branch banking, or even former brokers or mortgage salespeople keen to return to the industry. Day to day, you’ll focus on retaining customers, handling discharge requests and delivering genuine, helpful service as part of a supportive, high-performing team. What You'll Be Doing Managing inbound/outbound calls to understand and address customers’ reasons for wanting to move or leave Negotiating retention offers and using delegations to keep customers on their home loans Following up on discharge requests and issuing discharge forms Liaising with managers/product teams for pricing or fee waivers Resolving customer issues, completing timely call-backs, and maintaining accurate notes Participating in retention campaigns and ensuring all actions meet compliance standards What We're Looking For Experience in mortgage or home loan retention (preferred) or at minimum, a background in financial services Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling challenging customer conversations Excellent communication and customer service abilities High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Team-oriented, coachable, and committed to delivering quality outcomes Solid understanding of home loan products and lending principles If this sounds like you, please apply now.
